The pretty actress who had been very choosy about her subjects, had worked on her terms and conditions.
Sithara is still the same, she hasn't put on any weight, she is still
playing the traditional and conservative roles and has no regrets.
Sithara was introduced by Usha Kiron Movies in 1991. She was in college
and waslearning Mohiniattam in a dance school in Kerala when she was
offered Kaveri, her debut movie. The producers of the film were
in search of a new girl and they learnt about Sithara from her dance
teacher and her music director Dakshina Murthy explained to her father
that it was a film based on classical music, which simplified her entry
into films. Her friends, and the principal supported her and then she
faced the camera with stalwarts like Mamooty, Mohanlal and Nedumudi
Venu.
