Catherine Tresa Alexandar (Born on 10th September 1985 in Dubai, UAE) is an Indian film actress and model, known for her works in South Indian film industry. Since 2010, She has acted in Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu films.
Early Life...
Katherine is born to Malayali catholic parents in Dubai and was brought up in Dubai. She says, “I don’t speak fluent Malayalam, it’s mostly English that we speak at home. I speak decent Hindi though and now I’m taking lessons in Telugu. She did her Grade twelve in Dubai and moved to Bangalore to do higher education. She studied for two years in St. Joseph's College, Bangalore. While she studied, she also learnt to play a musical instrument, sing and dance, did ice skating and got comfortable with public speaking. She has modeled for Nalli Silks, Chennai Silks, Fast Track, Josco Jewelers and Deccan Chronicle. She has also shot for Srikantadatta Wodeyar's Maharaja Calendar and has been participating with Prasad Bidapa in many ramp shows in many cities.
Career...
Katherine Teresa made her debut through Kannada film Shankar IPS with Duniya Vijay. In Malayalam Katherine has acted in The Thriller and Uppukundam Brothers. After that another Kannada film Godfather with Upendra. Talking about her character in Godfather, Katherine Teresa says that it is different from what she has done so far in her career. She does not need to worry about her looks, as her role is a more mature character, who is mentally challenged. She has done a role in Kannada film Vishnu that is equally opposite to her real life.
She is currently doing Chammak Challo being directed by Neelakanta and Paisa by Krishna Vamsi. “In Paisa with Nani as my pair I play a Muslim, who is sweet, very inhibited and talks a lot with her eyes. This girl is a total contrast to what I play in Chammak Challo. I come in during the second half in Chammak Challo as an urbane, bold and dynamic girl. Katherine Teresa will play female lead alongside Stylish star Allu Arjun in this Puri Jagannath directed, ganesh bandla produced Telugu movie Iddarammayilatho.
